Sidnie Thompson

At 10 weeks old, Sidnie was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis and she was given a 20% chance of survival.  She needed to travel from northern Arkansas to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX about once a month.  She was too sick to travel commercially or ride in a car for 8 hours.  Volunteer pilots were able to help Sidnie receive the specialized care she needed to live.  After two years of intensive medical treatments, Sidnie was cured of the disease.  Today, she is a happy and healthy 12-year old with a bright future ahead of her.
