June 2013 - Photo Contest

Dust off those cameras and dig out the film - it's time for Angel Flight's first ever Photo Contest!  During the month of June, send us your best Angel Flight pictures.  We are looking for a winning picture in each of the following categories:

• Best In-Plane Photo - passengers and pilots enjoying a flight from inside the plane
• Best Group Photo - inside or outside, with a plane or at the FBO, send us your best group photo
• Silliest Photo - wear silly outfits, make silly faces, just have fun
• Best Child Photo - we're anxious to see the future pilots of Angel Flight

Deadline for submissions is June 30th!  Email your photos to Elizabeth (ehancy@angelflightsc.org), submit them through AFIDS, or mail them to Angel Flight South Central, 2550 Midway Rd. Ste 220, Carrollton, TX  75006.  The Angel Flight office will select the Top 5 pictures in each category and then we'll post them on our Facebook page where everyone will have an opportunity to vote on the final winners.

Each winner will receive an Angel Flight T-shirt and a framed copy of thier winning picture with an Angel Flight photo Contest certificate.

Let the picture-taking fun begin!   

September 28, 2013 10:00AM-2:00PM - NATCA Fly-In at DWH, Houston, TX

The National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) has partnered with the David Wayne Hooks and Gill Aviation Airport Management to raise money and awareness for the NATCA Charitable Foundation and other local charities, including Angel Flight South Central.  The details of the event are still being confirmed.  If you are interested in learning more, please Like "Vectors for Hope" on Facebook to receive the most current information.

October 10-12, 2013 - AOPA Summit, Ft. Worth, TX

The AOPA Summit will be held in Ft. Worth, Texas this October.  The Exhibitors Hall will be at the Ft. Worth Convention Center and the AirportFest will be at Meacham Airport.  Angel Flight South Central will have a booth to help raise awareness of our organization.  If you are interested in assisting at our booth, please contact Elizabeth Hancy at ehancy@angelflightsc.org.
