Angel Flight South Central Beginnings
Brock joined Angel Flight several years ago. He has flow missions from El Paso to Scottsdale as well as Houston. He became the Wing Leader for the Southwest in approximately 2019 and joined the Board of Directors in April 2024.
Aviation Adventures
Brock began flying at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas while his wife was attending the advanced officer’s course. He has been passionate about flying and sharing that adventure since then. Like others this passion was set aside in early adulthood, but once he opened his personal law practice Brock began using his license with his first plane for business, pleasure, and giving back to the community.
Flying has taken his family from Mulege, Mexico to view the whales all the way to Oshkosh to see the world’s biggest airshow. However, the most rewarding flight has been his Angel Flights. One of the most memorable was when Shireen scheduled an out and back mission trip for Brock with several patients to coincide with his work trip to Houston. Flying back at night he was thanked by the passenger riding up front. She shared that Angel Flight allowed her to skip a bus trip to Houston for treatment and tonight was the first time in years that she would be able to see her child two nights in a row.
Personal Stories
Brock grew up in the small southern Arizona border city of Douglas, Arizona. He joined the U.S. Army and served in as a U.S. Army Ranger in the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Lewis, Washington and then with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR) at Fort Campbell Kentucky. After the military, Brock went to law school and ultimately settled in El Paso, Texas., first at the District Attorney’s office and then opening my own Benjamin Law Firm, PLLC.
